I have read all these negative reviews and wonder what could have gone wrong? Bought my blue dial NAVY SEAL original over a decade ago or so. Whenever they first came out. Three batteries only in over a decade. My NAVY SEAL has been through two tours of Iraq, dust storms, under water, had the hell beat out of it from combat to hunting n fishing trips around the USA. Been in salt water and fresh water. Has been dropped many times. I don't get these negative reviews. I also own a Rolex Submariner that has been to hell n back too. It had been worked on three times----the Luminox Navy Seal Original never excepts for three batteries. You could not talk me out it. I am assuming the manufacturing process have changed. Rolex is $3700. Navy Seal Original was under $200. The NAVY SEAL requires using the exact appropriate battery or IT WILL leak. Batteries a hair thinner n cheaper will work but your watch will leak. Use the appropriate size 5 year battery n have it installed by a reputable jeweler familiar with this watch. The rubber 0 ring must be seated properly n re-greased. Then IT WILL NOT LEAK.
