I like wearing and using traditional stuff - high quality stuff. For example, I use a Waterman fountain pen every day and don't mind going through the pain of refilling ink. So, when I got this Tag automatic chrono as a gift from my wife, I was simply thrilled. The watch is simply magnificent. I kept staring at the seconds hand, its motion made me feel nostalgic. Well, I saw my dad wearing such stuff when I was a kid, but since I started wearing watches, quartz watches started dominating the market and I actually never got a chance to wear any mechanical watches until I got this Tag.
Nostalgia aside, this Link model from Tag I think is a very good one. It gets a couple of seconds fast every day, but I guess you need to accept it. After all, you don't buy automatic chrono for timing accuracy. A $20 watch can serve you better for that purpose. The look and feel, the weight, the crown, the shine, the glamour - I can't say enough about this watch. I, however, do not own any other automatic chrono watches; so, I can't compare with Omega or Rolex, and I assume those could be just excellent, if not better. But, I am happy with my Tag. I once called their customer service and the person was quite helpful. The only thing that bothers me is that it seems I need to pay four/five hundred dollars every 3-4 years for regular servicing (equivalent to oil change of a car).
